Seychelles Travel Update – APRIL 2021

    11 April 2021

SEYCHELLES | COVID TRAVEL UPDATE | APRIL 2021

We are excited to announce that as of the 25th of March 2021, Seychelles will be welcoming guests from across the globe (this excludes visitors from South Africa). To ensure the safety of all travellers, you will still be required to adhere to specific public safety guidelines, present a valid Health Travel Authorisation (HTA) and a negative PCR test on arrival.

This means anyone can now experience the ultimate fly fishing destinations in the Outer Islands of Seychelles! These waters are brimming with hungry GTs, fierce milkfish, elusive permits, aggressive triggers and swarms of bonefish, each just waiting to be tamed by fly fishermen from across the globe.

Join us for one of the most enthralling, adrenaline pumping and satisfying fly fishing experiences of your life this fly fishing season!

What is required when travelling to Seychelles?

Thanks to a remarkably successful vaccination campaign, the Seychelles Islands have vaccinated the vast majority of its population to welcome all foreign visitors irrespective of their vaccination status. However, some guidelines must be followed to ensure your safety and those of the local population:

    1) Provide a negative PCR Test

Upon your arrival, you are required to present a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before your departure.

    2) Apply and provide a valid Health Travel Authorization (HTA)

As part of the entry requirements, all visitors require a valid Health Travel Authorization (HTA) for entry into Seychelles. This must be done through the online government portal.

Additional information and instructions are available on the portal, including support to provide specific clarifications.

    3) Adhere to public health measures

Visitors must adhere to public health measures put in place. These include wearing a face mask, social distancing, regular sanitisation and/or washing of hands.

Visit the Seychelles tourism website for additional information.

Being able to experience the vast open flats of the Outer Islands of Seychelles has always been one of the greatest privileges, and while the season has produced some mind-blowing fishing thus far for those lucky enough to have been able to travel already, we are beyond excited to be able to share these pristine fisheries with the rest of the world once more.

We still have a few rods available for the remainder of the season at Cosmoledo Atoll and Alphonse Island, so check out the season availability calendar on our website or contact our reservations department to book your rod.

The fishing season at Alphonse will also be extended due to the limited fishing done so far this season. Anglers can now enquire about these exclusive rods directly from our reservations team here.
